SERC Men’s 2x Wins Bronze at Nationals

Timmy Parsons and Eliott Swinney, Juniors from South Eugene High School,  raced the double at USRowing Youth Nationals in Sarasota, FL and took home the bronze medal. This is the the first time SERC has sent a boat to Nationals since 2009 and the first Nationals medal for the club ever.

The SERC double won the time trial on the first day of racing, beating out all 48 entries in the event and securing a spot in the semi finals. Timmy and Eliott proceeded to win their semi final race to clinch a spot in the A final. After a rest day, the two competed in the A final, ending up on the podium with the bronze medal.
